Hamilton watches are considered by some as the most influential watches of the past century.

The company started out in 1892 manufacturing pocket watches from their factory in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. were best known for their reliable railroad watches until they began producing ladies pendant watches in 1908. By the end of the First World War, Hamilton began introducing ladies wrist watches which were variations of the pendant watch with cloth or ribbon straps.

Men's wrist watches by Hamilton did not come to being until 1922, when the idea of a wrist watch for men became somewhat acceptable. However, since then, hamilton watches have been creating new and unique pieces that have kept their place in timekeeping history. Watches such as the Ventura, the world's first electric watch, and the Hack watch, which was worn by American troops during the Second World War. These watches not only offered great precision time keeping, but also unique designs and rugged toughness that set Hamilton apart from other manufacturers.
